The goal was to experiment with different made-up cities from a book. The end assignment was to collage several cities together and create a poster series for a gallery show. The final piece of the project was to get comfortable with Adobe Aero Beta, which allows a 2D poster to be-come virtually 3D.
My Process
Create! And create some more! I made many different cities and collaged them together using Photoshop. I selected a color range in the various pictures, deleted the color range, and then merged all the images. I intentionally made the words more challenging to see to represent the city’s hustle and bustle.
Execution
The middle poster is the only one I created for Adobe Aero Beta. Please scan the QR code and download the app to see the image pop off the page. Each image is on its plane so that the viewer can see all the different layers of the image. The word is the only thing that moves to represent the city’s business.
